Every year, Bayless Parents as Teachers presents an improvement plan to the Board of Education. It outlines the program's priorities for the year and how it will help students grow. Below is a condensed version covering the key areas staff is focusing on to support every student’s success: Family Partnerships and Home Visiting, and Family Connections and Community Engagement
Family Partnerships and Home Visiting
We Are
- Completing Family Needs Assessments to match
families with the right level of support. - Providing regular home visits that promote early learning and family well-being.
- Working with DESE consultants and regional PAT partners to maintain high-quality services.
We Will
- Complete assessments within 30 days of enrollment and review progress each quarter.
- Ensure all families receive their scheduled home visits.
- Adjust support levels as family needs change.
- Keep home visits focused on early learning and
parenting goals.
We Expect to See
- Every family receiving the right level of support.
- Stronger family engagement and confidence in
supporting learning at home.
How Families Can Help
- Attend all scheduled home visits and share
questions or successes. - Try the activities your PAT educator suggests.
- Let your educator know if your family’s needs change.
Family Connections and Community Engagement
We Are
- Offering Group Connection events through PAT
- Hosting Story Time sessions that support ECC
literacy themes. - Sharing event information through ParentSquare, Facebook and home-visit flyers.
We Will
- Increase family participation in group events.
- Offer more event topics based on family input and community partnerships.
- Align group sessions with ECC literacy and learning themes.
We Expect to See
- More families taking part in group events throughout the year.
- Strong connections among families and a greater sense of community.
